Why we created PrestaSecure

Since 2018, we have been cleaning hacked PrestaShop stores. 590 security interventions (329 hacked sites cleaned, 261 anti-bot and anti-spam protections). Completely defaced sites, stolen customer databases, redirects to fraudulent sites, cryptocurrency mining in the background, backdoors hidden in 30 different files.

• Collaborative blacklist: when an IP attacks one PrestaSecure-protected site, it is shared with all others. The attacker is blocked everywhere.

A shared firewall: the power of the network

This is one of PrestaSecure biggest advantages over an isolated solution. When the firewall blocks an attack on one store, the information is shared with the entire network of protected stores.

Concretely: if an IP launches a SQL injection attack on site A, it is automatically blocked on sites B, C and D. The more stores protected by PrestaSecure, the smarter and more reactive the network becomes.

Human cleanup: when the worst has already happened

If your site is compromised despite everything, our team steps in. Not a robot. Not an automatic script. Developers who have known PrestaShop since its earliest versions and have cleaned hundreds of infected sites.

FAQ

Does PrestaSecure slow down my store?

No. Scans run in the background via the PrestaShop cron. The firewall adds a few milliseconds per request, invisible to your visitors.

Is my data sent somewhere?

The module communicates with our cloud platform for signature updates and scan results. No customer data (names, emails, orders) is transmitted.

What if I am already hacked?
